Hank originally came out of the Oleen Brothers Quarter Horses from Dwight, Kansas, and ended up on our ranch in Colorado. He has been roped off of, chased cows, horses, and sheep, and has been on hundreds of trail miles in the Colorado Rockies, as an amazing and calm pack horse and a riding horse leading a pack string of 5-6 mules and horses. He crosses streams, climbs steep mountain slopes, and even was ridden to gather cattle in 2 feet of snow this fall high in the Rockies. Hank is as sweet and gentle as they come, and he has incredible grit and endurance. He has a nice, slow and relaxed trot and canter, and he can move out and gallop in an instant. He has a lot of stop and neck reins like a dream. Hank is being offered for a quick sale now, but if for some reason, his owner doesn't find him, Hank will be going to specialized roping training here locally in Arizona, after which his price will climb dramatically. Hank is my favorite horse to ride, with his calm demeanor and steadfast movement, I wished for Hank on every ride. Don't miss out on this true gem of a horse! Hank will receive a couple weeks of Reata WayTM Tune Up before being ready for sale, but $1200 deposit will place a hold on him in the meantime.
Original Price: $6500. Christmas Promotion: $5500 TWICE THE TAKEBACK, aka "Huck" - "Huck" is an AQHA registered 7-year-old sorrel gelding standing at 15.1 hands who has incredible breeding lines. His sire is HR Young Gunner with Young Gun and Freckless Playboy in his lineage. He has lots and lots of the Doc O-Lena pedigree on his dam's side. Huck is truly as athletic as they come. He has a busy mind and is a horse that needs a challenging job. He can turn on a dime and has the quickness of a cat and therefore requires a more intermediate to advanced rider. He has incredible endurance and has been used for every kind of ranch work. He can gather cattle and sheep, and was used often to rope sheep and cattle. This past summer, I roped cows off Huck in the Colorado Rockies. He has been used as a pack horse with 4-5 mules and horses behind him as well as a riding horse high in the Colorado Rockies both leading the pack string and riding solo, traveling hundreds of miles at 10,000 to 13,000 feet in altitude. He can traverse any kind of terrain. He is sure-footed to boot and could make one whale of a cutting or roping horse. Huck is being offered for sale currently, and if his owner does not find him, he will be entering specialized roping/cutting training, after which his price will increase dramatically. Buy Huck now and mold him into the discipline you choose! Huck will receive a couple weeks of Reata WayTM Tune Up before being ready for sale, but $1000 deposit will place a hold on him in the meantime. Original Price: $5500. He is built like a tank and is beautiful to boot! He is an easy keeper and has great feet and body condition! He can neck rein, walk, trot, canter, and gallop, stop, and back up; and he can handle all terrain, including crossing rocky rivers. When you buy Johnny Ringo, you're getting a solid young horse who has been there, done that. Don't miss out on this steal of the week! Johnny Ringo will receive a couple weeks of Reata WayTM Tune Up before being ready for sale, but $400 deposit will place a hold on him in the meantime. Original Price: $2000. Christmas Promotion Price: $1700 Appi - "Appi" is an 18-year-old Appaloosa gelding with lots of go left in the tank in need of a comfortable retirement home where he can still ride trails and be active. He has put in a lifetime of hard work and has carried sheep herders for most of that life. Arizona is where he will spend his next phase of life. Appi has plenty of GO left in his tank. He is still shows some rib and withers from his last venture in the mountains, but he will gain weight and he can still move out like a champ. He is newly trimmed and does best in rocky areas with at least front shoes. He can cross streams, rivers, rocky areas, washes...you name it. He would be best for leisure or trail riding. He can walk, trot, canter, stop, back up, and turn right and left. He neck reins and will receive a couple weeks of Reata WayTM Tune Up before being ready for sale, but $200 deposit will place a hold on him in the meantime. Original Price: $950. Roxy isn't flinchy and has been in training the Reata WayTM with Reata Horsemanship. She is highly desensitized and near bomb proof. Roxy is well gaited and is as smooth as glass when on a slow and fast rack. Easy trailer loading and has been trimmed. Picks up all 4 feet without a fuss. She has trail ridden multiple times, especially along the Salt River, has no issues with wild horses, and moves comfortably alone and in the front, middle, and back of the trail herd. She rides in the arena and in the neighborhood as well. If you are looking for a nice gaited horse with a calm disposition who can take you where you want to go without the bumpy ride, Roxy is your gal! She is the perfect size, the easiest keeper I've ever owned, and will be ready to roll around Christmas time! Roxy is being offered at $4500 with the Christmas discounted price of $3500. She was probably highly papered, but previous owners have since lost that paperwork. Mare is sensitive on her poll, so she has come to Reata Horsemanship to learn the Reata WayTM and to be tolerant with pressures over her poll and highly desensitized in order to improve her safety.
