Hi CL, After a long debate (over a year), I've decided to sell my WRX. It is a fantastic car that is NOT my daily driver. It's probably the only bug eye WRX you will find in the North East with no rust at all (not even in the quarter panels!!!). I purchased this car about 2.5 years ago in NC (I was living there) from the guy who bought it new. I believe it had about 128k miles on it when I bought it. I started modifying it around 130k miles, and it now has about 140k (I barely drive it - part of the reason I am selling it) The car is scary fast. The big deal modifications are a Hybrid EJ25 STI engine swap (this car came with a 2.0 litre) and a 71HTA Forced Performance turbo and all supporting modifications. The car has not been dynoed in its current configuration, but this car is dead even in terms of performance (we checked) with my cousin's forester with an almost identical setup. His car was dynoed on a MUSTANG dyno at 370WHP, so, thats the best number i can estimate. It probably makes a lot more than that on a dynojet or comparable. Keep in mind, 370WHP is about 470HP to the crank.. its fast.... The car runs really well. It's tuned well and is a blast to drive. One very unique feature of this car is the steering wheel. I installed a steering wheel out of a 2012 WRX. To my knowledge, no one has done this in this early of a car. I developed and programmed an arduino mounted in the steering wheel to communicate with another arduino in the glove box over RF and transmit all the steering wheel controls. All the radio controls on the wheel work as well as the cruise control buttons. The air bag is also fully functional. Pretty cool, and you won't find another one like it! Here's a list of modifications (I'm DEFINETELY forgetting a ton) -EJ25 Hybrid. Uses the original 2.0L heads and the 2.5 shortblock. Engine came out of a running friend's Forester with approximately 120k miles. The swap was done about 5k miles ago. -FP 71HTA Turbo -850CC injectors -Walboro 255LPH fuel pump -AEM Methanol Injection kit -Stock airbox/intake (Gives it a nice sleeper look) -STI Top Mount Intercooler (TMIC) -Catless Downpipe (i also have a catted one if you want it) -Borla Hush Exhaust (this was not cheap and sounds amazing) -STI clone wheels -Competition Clutch (Stage 3) - machined flywheel. -innovative motor sports wideband sensor and gauge -boost gauge (it's not cheap. Can't remember brand) Tune Info -The car has been extensively street tuned by me (I'm not your average hack artist - I'm a software engineer for a living, and I've been working on cars my whole life. I have a 2 post lift in my garage....) -Tune at between 22-24PSI of boost depending on wether -Still using MAF (speed density is really an antiquated method of managing fuel delivery) The bad (The car is getting pretty old so there's a few things :) ) -It has a good amount of door dings and scratches. Most of these could easily be fixed with PDR and a good detail guy. -The clutch is too aggressive for my taste. Its a segmented clutch, and its pretty nasty taking off sometimes. I have a Group N trans mount ready to go in to see if it helps. I called Competition Clutch recently and they confirmed the stage 2 clutch disc is a direct swap without changing pressure plate. Something i would consider... -The valve covers are seaping a bit. It is possible they just need to be tightened. This is a real annoyance for me and if I don't sell it, this is the next job I will tackle. -The guy who owned the car before me had kids, so the interior has a bit of an odor. It needs a really good, thorough cleaning. It could definitely use some new floor mats as well. Maintenance Stuff: -Tires are in really good shape. I replaced them after i bought the wheels probably around 132k miles -I did all new rotors and pads about a year ago -I believe i replaced one rear caliper maybe a year or two ago. -During the swap, the engine was completely regasketed (obviously) -Gates timing belt and tensioners installed with engine swap -Obviously, coolant is fresh since engine swap -Oil changed every 3k miles. I currently run Brad Penn Racing oil 20w50 (this is recommended by FP for the turbo - it has lots of Zinc) -I think I replaced a few CV boots during the engine swap or some time around then. I'm open to trades for a nice full size truck. Maybe an F150, anything diesel, a nice silverado, etc (I'm doing a bit of car reconfiguring and planning to trade my 2015 f150 in for a new mustang GT, so I need an older truck)
