Polaroid OneStep Rainbow, 1977

Polaroid OneStep Rainbow Strip Land Camera With original carrying case, booklet and dated warranty card. The OneStep is rare, having had a very limited production run in 1977. This particular camera has a unique history. It was purchased 3/18/1977 immediately prior to departure for an official, four-month scientific exchange visit to the USSR. I took my wife and 3-year-old son to live with me in Leningrad. My son took pictures for his photo album. To our knowledge, this was THE FIRST Polaroid camera in Russia. Even the highly educated and traveled Soviet scientists had never seen an instant camera. The were astounded at its performance. The case sticker is from the Silja Line, a passenger ship of which we used to go from Stockholm, Sweden to Helsinki, Finland, prior to our entry into the Soviet Union.
