Description:

PSG temperature limiting thermostat w/ accustat energy sensor = save $. As a landlord, it's nice to have a way of controlling how much heat my tenants are using. These PSG "Energy Guard" temperature limiting thermostats have really helped me save money, while keeping my tenants warm. The tenant feels like they have control to set the heat at any temperature, but the "PSG Energy Guard" shuts the heat off when the limiting temperature has been reached. You choose the limiting temperate by choosing the appropriate PSG Accustat energy sensor and placing it in the back side of the PSG "Energy Guard" Example: Let's assume you have an Energy Guard with a 72 degree accustat energy sensor installed. The tenant comes home to a cool house (lets say the temp is 68 degrees) and wants to heat up the apartment quickly. They go to the thermostat and turn it way up. Okay, the heating system kicks into action bringing warmth into the apartment. When the Energy guard senses that the heat has reached 72 degrees it shuts the heat off (the shut off temp. depends on the energy sensor you have installed). Meanwhile the room gets a little warmer (your baseboard heat or radiators are still warm and heating the air), but essentially the heat is now off until the temperature drops below the 72 degrees. You choose the "limiting temperature" by choosing the accustat energy sensor that is set for that heat. I do have a few of these for sale as well, but you can obtain more on line (ebay) or by purchasing them from PSG Controls, INC show contact info ). As landlords, lets's face it, if you pay for the heat, you want a way to make sure it's not wasted. These Energy Guard temperature limiting thermostats are a great way to do that - they've saved me a bunch of $$ over the years. I'm now getting ready to retire, so am selling off my units, that's why I'm putting these thermostats up for sale. Now they can help you to cut unnecessary costs.
