For the longevity and health of our birds, all chicks are vaccinated for Marek's Disease (at hatch), coccidiosis (at 4 days), and Fowl Pox ( w/ Avian Encephililitis and Pigeon Pox) (at 6 weeks) . For the coccidiosis vaccine to remain effective, your chicks need NON-MEDICATED CHICK STARTER. For your convenience, we have available for purchase Purina Flock Raiser (20% non-medicated chick crumbles) and New Country Organics Chick Starter (organic, non-GMO, soy-free, and non-medicated). If you purchase your chicks before they are vaccinated for fowl pox , you are welcome to bring them back for vaccinations. For Fowl Pox vaccination, if you bring them on the day we are vaccinating, the fee is $1 per vaccination. On other days, there is a $20 flat fee plus $1 fee per vaccination. We have complete brooder kits available, Brooder kit includes all equipment needed to raise up to 8 chicks up to 6 weeks of age. Call or text Melinda at show contact info HEN MONEY BACK GUARANTEE - if a chicken you purchase as a pullet (not a straight run) turns out to be a rooster, you can get the purchase price back as cash or you can get credit or gift card for the purchase price plus a dollar for each week you had the bird (up to double the purchase price). You have the option to keep or return the rooster. Rooster return is not required to get your money back. All Sebrights, Silkies, D'uccles , Bantam Cochins, English Orpington, Ayam Cemani, and Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (SeaBreeze Line) are sold as straight run. Straight run birds do not have a Hen Money Back Guarantee but you may bring your roosters back if you need help rehoming them. If you need help rehoming a rooster that was not purchased from us, we can help you out but we do charge a $10 rehoming fee per rooster to cover the cost of quarantine and handling until the roosters are rehomed. Sorry for any inconvenience, but I generally cannot take back roosters older than 6 months of age. Silkie roosters are an exception. If you are going to need to return a rooster, please make arrangements as soon as possible after the gender has been identified. My hens and pullets are kept cage free on free range in my large chicken pastures. They browse daily from sun up to sun down. I also feed them high protein laying crumbles, whole grains to "scratch", and fresh fruit and vegetables. The chicks are hatched at our place or arrive one day old and are raised to ensure a natural and healthy growing environment.
