Description:

I really wish I didn't have to sell our car, Lola. Yes, I'm one of those people who name their car. But you could change her name... or not name her. She doesn't mind at all. As long as you treat her right. Lola has Skyactiv technology, which is Mazda's super cool tech to make it fuel efficient. So we get 28 / 40 city/highway MPG. So gas is usually about $30 for a full tank, which is really nice. I'm not a car guy at all, but I take pride in taking care of my things -- especially something as important as a car. So I take her for an oil change and for a checkup about every 3 months. She's in "very good" condition according to Kelly Blue Book, and she drives like a sports car. Tight handling, so regular commutes to work feel a little exciting. But... we're having our second kid, and two car seats in the back are impossible. So we need a bigger car. Otherwise, we would have kept Lola and driven her forever. We got her as a certified pre-owned car in 2015 from Morries Mazda, and she only had 55,000 miles. We really wanted a vehicle we could trust and wouldn't worry about breaking down on us, so we wanted one that was certified pre-owned. It used to be a rental in some southern state (I think Florida) so there's no rust damage to the undercarriage (I'm told that's common with cars from the Midwest because of the salt on the roads in the winter, so that's nice that she's from the south). New brakes, new tires. Transmission is good. Engine is good. Never been in a crash. We're non-smokers, and don't have any pets -- so you won't get any weird odors. We try to keep the interior pretty clean, so you'll only see normal wear on the interior. No stains. I do know Lola's worth based on the Kelly Blue Book report and am not interested in going much lower. So if you're looking for a car you enjoy, and one you can feel safe in for years to come, then Lola's your girl. Side note 1: I also have snow tires for Lola that I'm selling separately. So if you want don't want to worry about safety the morning after a snowstorm, they're totally worth it. Side note 2: Since it was snowing when I took photos, the backseats had some snowflakes that landed/melted right before I took the photo, so if it looks splotchy, that's why -- nothing wrong with the fabric.
