Pet Pigs for Adoption

Adopt Don't Shop...... There is an overpopulation of beautiful, socialized potbellied pet pigs that need your help. If you are considering getting a pig as a pet, you can contact the Pig Placement Network (PPN) at www.pigplacementnetwork.org when you adopt through PPN you will be assisted with all steps along the way to pig ownership. Not only are the pigs socialized, they have all their veterinarian work up to date including spay or neuter and micro chipped. Plus you will benefit from the education process which helps you make an informed decision about getting a pet pig, you will also have access to after adoption consultations and other services. A few things you should know before you do anything more. 1) There are NO TEACUP PIGS, Micro Mini, all pet pigs are miniature swine, they are miniature to their species NOT miniature to their breed. The average is 80 - 100#, some smaller, some larger. 2) Zoning laws are not always pig friendly. 3) Not all veterinarians will treat pet pigs, you might need to travel some distance to find vet care. 4) Pigs have high cognitive social functioning, so it is often recommended to adopt two. 5) Pigs need outside space as well as inside space in your home, however, PPN is also looking for homes for outdoor barnyard pet pigs.
