1970 Kaiser CJ5

I got the Jeep on a whim, and the whim passed. I don't fit well in it and I have a good 4x4 truck for work. It is the last year of the Kaiser before selling Jeep to AMC. This came from Talent, very dry country, and it has no rust, the tub and fenders are rock solid and straight. I put a base coat/clear coat on it since it was coming to the coast and it has been inside since I got it. It has the 225 Dauntless V6 motor, an option in 1970, which puts out a very respectable 160hp. Three speed transmission and clutch are good, as is the PTO winch which came standard on CJ's that year. The motor is stock except it has a Delco electronic distributor. I don't like old radiators, and put in a new aluminum radiator with thermostat and hoses, and stuck iridium plugs in it. Dual exhaust recently put on. I really have not done anything with it, it is all there and seems good, though it has a crack in the windshield ($120), and things like the defrost tubes need replaced, it would benefit from just methodically doing maintenance. I am not a fan of oversized tires and aftermarket rims, they are cheap and would make it handle better. It is old school, a big steering wheel rather than power steering, no power brakes, this is what the early Jeeps were like. Make offer or trade, it is a shame to have it just sit in the garage.
