Description:

I am selling two Kennedy coffee table books, both in like-new condition and both containing plenty of photographs. The first book's photographs are in color, and the second book in black and white. I believe the black-and-white photographs in the second book reveal a more natural and less-staged glimpse into the Kennedy Family, but your tastes may differ. Selling for $12 apiece or the pair for $20. Book #1- John F. Kennedy by Lois E. Anderson (1986) 160 pages. Measures 12 1/4 X 9 1/2 inches. Book #2- The John F. Kennedy's, A Family Album by Mark Shaw (1964) 160 pages. Measures 11 X 8 1/4 inches. On that ghastly horrific day in November 1963, we see First Lady Jackie Kennedy climb halfway out of the Presidential limousine and extend her outstretched arm towards the rear hood before snatching something off the hood and sliding back into the limousine. Later in her Warren Commission testimony, Mrs. John Connolly, who was a passenger in the limousine along with Texas Governor John Connolly, reported that after the third shot rang out, Jackie Kennedy's words were (quote) "They have killed my husband. I have his brains in my hand. And Jackie repeated that several times. And that was all the conversation." (unquote). Born into a family that was already a political dynasty, John F. Kennedy became the country's first Catholic President in 1960. His administration spawned an era that became known as Camelot by some and the End of the Age of Innocence by others.
