Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43

1978 Land Cruiser FJ43 for sale. This is the South American cousin of the FJ40 sold here in the states. It was imported from Columbia in 2016 and has a clear Oregon title. This FJ is the normal left hand drive and is 16" longer than the American FJ40's, not to many of these here in the states and are pretty rare down in Columbia. Equipped with the original Toyota 2F engine, and the South American spec 4 speed H43 transfer case. Engine runs strong and there are no serious mechanical issues. Starts up first time, every time. I daily drove the 43 for over a year as my only car and even drove it across the country from Georgia to Oregon. This FJ43 is in "survivor" condition and has never been restored and does not need to be. Would be fun to own as is or a really good starting point for a full frame off if you wanted. Almost no rust to be found with just one small area under the drivers side. No big dings or dents in the metal body work but the fiberglass top does have a busted hinge in the rear. If it doesn't sell before the coming summer I will swap out the hard top for a soft top and adjust the price to match. Since I've owned it I have done a few basic mechanical maintenance and a few upgrades. New radiator Changed all fluids Upgraded LED head lights New steering box Front axle rebuild including all new seals and bearings in conjunction with disc brake swap Disc brake swap using FJ60 knuckles (stops so much better now) Any questions shoot me a text or email.
